Dark Times (Norway)

Dark Times consists of two girls and one guy. They have lately been noticed by Maximum Rock’n’Roll among others for their style that MRR calls ”rad Midwest-style hardcore”. Their debut 7” came out in November 2011 on Sheep Chase Records and their second 7” came out November last year on a norwegian label named Fysisk Format. They have played shows with Lower and Iceage.

Bed Bugs (Aarhus)

Raum Eins writes:
“Bed Bugs hails from Aarhus and has been playing together since the fall of 2012. All respect to artists who have spent years on perfection, but there is something liberating from the mentality of Bed Bugs, whom many could learn from. It’s just about doing it. The drummer had never played drums, before he got encouraged to join the band. He then bought the cheapest drumkit money could buy and the rest is history.
Their music can be described as dark punkrock from the 80’s. Simple setup; one guitar/drums/bass/vocals.”

Happy Hookers for Jesus (Aarhus)

Maximum Rock’n’Roll writes this about their debut 7”:
“Fuck! This shit is sick! Unrelenting punk rock damage, great! It’s hard to imagine how a band could break new ground in 2012, but these guys did it… Take the smarmy little shit music of the URINALS, speed it up 150% and cranck the volume to tvelve. The B-side is the inevitable come down from the manic speed of the A-side – Bring on the headcrushing depression. Great schitt limited to 200 copies”

Fright Eye (Aarhus)

Passive Aggressive writes:
“Fright Eye keeps their style simple and goofy inspired by american garage-rock music with brilliant choruses. “In love with myself, in love with myself, in love with myself, in love with myself”, “I get bored, I get bored, I get bored…” or “Jerk at work, jerk at work, jerk at work, jerk at work”. It’s fun and made with a purpose.”

Raum Eins Records & Press is soon releasing their debut 7”

Less Win (Copenhagen)

Passive Aggressive writes:
“Thursday the 11th of October Less Win is releasing their debut album ”Great”, after roaming the Copenhagen underground for about two years. Originally the band only consisted of Casper Morilla (guitar) and Patrick Kociszewski (bass) flanked by a drum machine, while they took turns doing the vocals. This can be heard on the band’s first release, which was a 7” where the four tracks are created by noisy music and a drum machine track. Since then the drum machine has been replaced by a third member, who contributes with extra energy and dynamic to the band both live and on recordings. After playing several shows together the band is now a tight unit, and in my eyes one of the best bands in the danish underground today.”

Snaredrum (Aarhus)

Passive Aggressive writes:
“The Fredericia (now Aarhus) band Snaredrum makes a danish variant of simple production with real melodies, traditional setup of rock instruments and simple stories. You don’t listen to Snaredrum in a specific danish context, but more in an american 90′s -indie tradition. They meet every weekend in Aarhus to make new songs, eat baguettes with hummus and play cards. Their songs are often about cats, love, their friends and about looking death in the eye. All the band members have played a bunch of different genres in their earlier carriers, so genre-wise their resume is reaching out to a wider audience, but it’s the love for the simple indie-pop-song, that is burning through this project.”

Snaredrum is working on their debut album.

Narcosatanicos (Aarhus)

Intense, heavy psychedelia filtered through filthy, acid-drenched noise rock. Spastic saxophones and shifting vocals whirl around in a fucked up tunnel of repetition and riffs. Sounding something like Brainbombs abusing amps with Fun House-era Stooges and Wooden Shjips on bad hallucinogens, and seeped in immersive psych visuals, NARCOSATANICOS exist as a uniquely mind-wrecking sonic bad trip.

They are currently working on an album.

Double Space (Aarhus)

DOUBLE SPACE distill the essence of sludge, stoner doom and noise rock into their own crystal clear vision: Unmatched heavy epic groove rock. An utterly relentless onslaught of crushing power riffs and killer leads. Never looking back!
